I have played basketball ever since I was 6 years old. I have known that I wanted to play in college since 7th grade. I've always played with older girls which has really helped me get better and have a desire to keep working at it to get to their level and become greater than them. I want to play in college to get to experience the excitement and environment of playing for a college team and I want to be able to keep playing competitive basketball even after I graduate high school. I deserve to have a chance of playing collegiate basketball because I work hard and am determined. I tore my acl last season and I could have just gave up because I knew that the recovery was going to be physically and mentally very hard but instead I did all of the work I needed to do to get back to where I was, including physical therapy 3 times a week for 10 months, strength training, ball handling and shooting, and encouraging my team throughout the season. I was a very aggressive player before my injury and instead of getting out there this year being very hesitant I am going to keep that aggressiveness and show people that the injury might have set me back but it will not keep me back.
