Personal Statement
I am excited that with all of the many applications you have reviewed, you found mine. Why me? Well first of all when it comes to commitment and dedication to a common goal, I remain focused. My life has been all about focusing. If this is what you are looking for in a player, then I ask for your consideration. Let me tell you a little about myself. I come from hardworking, goal focused parents, Dorian and Jenny Sibert, who have kept me and my three other siblings, (Olivia, Victoria, and Isabel) grounded in their core beliefs. Those beliefs are in God, Family, Community, and Commitment. These are my core values and beliefs also. My life is always exciting with the six of us. We are a party with feet wherever we go. Being the comedian of the family, I am fun to be around. Playing basketball, the sport I love, is just the icing on the cake.
My basketball resume will show that I started playing the game at eight years old. I began to play on the competitive level starting at eleven, and I have played every year since then. When I was younger, because I was the tallest, I played the post position most of the time. Since then, I have played many other positions. I think that makes me versatile. My coaches seems to think this also. I enjoy playing the wing, or shooting guard. My current focus is to train really hard at shooting on the move and attacking the basket.
Today, I am in the best shape ever both physically and mentally. I have been working on my fundamentals. I have found that my skills are developing each and every day. Thank you in advance for the opportunity to do what I have loved most of my life.
