Personal Statement
I have played on a small school team and because of this I have not had many skilled players on my team. The upside to this is that I have always been double and triple covered. I have had to learn how to score in situations where the other team knows that to win they only have to keep me from scoring. In the last 3 years we have only lost 5 or 6 games. I have had to be creative, crafty, and tough to score and carry my team. I don't say this to impress as much as to impress upon you that I find a way to score. I play pretty decent defense and have never fouled out of a game. You will rarely find someone who works harder and that is more coachable.
I am a very good student. I am a national honor society member and will unlikely have difficulty keeping up with my work load. I am in no way a discipline problem and feel I will bring very positive character traits to any team.
I live on a working farm and I am not afraid of hard work. I hope to study business and or agriculture in school. I feel that I will be an asset on any team that I am part of.
Mikaela Rogers, class of 2016 at Bradford Christian Academy, is a quality student, athlete and more importantly a quality young lady. She has good ball handling skills and court vision that enables her to play the point guard position. She is physically strong and able to post up, rebound and has the ability to attack the rim and finish with contact. Bottom line, she can play any position on the floor. Mikaela leads the team in scoring (21.1), rebounds (8.5), assists (2.4) and steals (4.4) and with her senior year still remaining is the already the all-time leading scorer for women and men with 1,671 points. As a former college coach Mikaela is the type of person, student and basketball player that I have loved to have in our program that why I highly recommend her to any college coach for their basketball program.
