I have always been a driven person, whether it's competing or achieving set goals. I have a great work ethic and always put 110% into everything I do. I have been told by various coaches that I am a very coachable player. I push myself to be better and doing so, encourage those around me to stay positive and continue getting better themselves, and I am a very big team player. When it comes to academics, it is my #1 priority. I spend countless hours studying and striving to achieve high grades. Although, I am good at juggling both academics and athletics for a healthy balance, being the best I can be in both fields. I work hard to improve my weak points, but also keep improving what I'm good at so I can be more consistent in all areas. I look forward to what my future may hold, and I aspire athletics to be part of it.

- The DBC AAU team was established in 2014. Sammy was the only girl at try outs and she was invited to play on the boys' freshmen team. They were Runner-Up in their first tournament (Maine Hoops Amateur Championships) 4/14/14.
