I am currently attending Lake Michigan Community College in Benton Harbor Michigan, I am starting my sophomore year there. I finished my freshman year academically on the Dean's list.
Our team did extremely well in the 15/16 season. We came in second in our division, won our regional, and went 1-2 at the national tournament. At the start of this past freshman year, I was named one of the team co-captains. I led the team in minutes played during the season, earned all conference and all regional tournament team honors, and finished ranked nationally in many of the NJCAA DII stat categories. The coaching staff here has helped me tremendously to improve my conditioning and skills. They look for me to again be a team leader, already naming me co-captain, and expect major contributions on the court, again, this coming season. My biggest strength is my speed. Offensively, I use it to create scoring opportunities for myself and my teammates. Defensively, I am able to get back down the court quickly, interrupt passing lanes, and deny the ball.
My goal is to continue to improve my skills on the court, and excel academically. I will graduate LMC in the spring with an associates degree in biology. After LMC I would like to transfer to and play ball and maybe run track (I was an all-state sprinter in high school) at a Division II or NAIA school and enroll in their nursing program.
