Hi Coach,
My name is Tilly Guild. I just finished my Freshman year attending Grand Ledge High School located in Grand Ledge, Michigan. I am doing my best as a student athlete to have the opportunity to play collegiate basketball. My goal is to play at a division I or II University. I practice between two and three hours a day with the hopes of getting better to move onto the next level. Being a power forward for my AAU and Varsity Grand Ledge High School basketball team, I try to show leadership by being a positive hardworking example on and off the court. I feel the key to having a successful team is by pushing myself 111%, and having vocal leadership.I am pushing myself to get all-league, all-conference, and all-state. I currently start as a power forward on my AAU basketball team. I most recently made the All Star team, http://usjn.com/xtm_post_event_allstar_new.php?which=310. I continue to work on different aspects of my game by attending skills camps, receiving individual training, team training, and of course working extra hard on my own.
My goal in academics is to keep a 3.2 or higher GPA. I know the importance of education, and continuously work hard to achieve my personal best. I try to get involved in as many extra curricular activities as possible such as soccer, school choir, youth group at church and I currently have a part time job in the summer where I work at a day care center. During the season of basketball I attend Impossible training, lift weights, and take private lessons. I am currently undecided about what to study in college. I am intrigued by criminal justice and love kids so have also thought early childhood development. I know they look to be worlds apart, but what they both have in common is that they give back to the community and make big changes in the world. That's what I want to do, make a positive difference in the world.
I hope my academic and athletic achievements are what you are looking for. I look forward to the the opportunity for us to discuss the possibility of me becoming a member of your collegiate family.
Sincerely,
Tilly Guild
