Personal Statement

I enjoy playing many different sports, but basketball is one of my favorites.  Having a good coach and supportive teammates definitely make a sport more enjoyable.  My middle school basketball coach is the main reason I want to continuing playing basketball in college.  He has not only taught me the rules of basketball, but he believes in me as a person and encourages me to be great, not good.  I have been playing basketball since I was 5, but I didn't truly love the sport until a few years ago. Shooting, especially threes, is my favorite thing about basketball, and after a lot of practice I have become pretty good at it.  Not only do I want to play basketball in college, but I also want to earn a degree in health care.  I understand that a degree comes first, but I would also like to be part of a successful basketball team.
