Maya Williams '16 Recruiting Profile

So far in my high school career, I have been honored to receive the Neosho Holiday Classic, Carl Junction classic, Lady Tiger Classic, All-District, First Team All-Conference, and First Team All-Area tournament teams. Also, during my 17 AAU season, I was honored to make the Regional Super 64 All Tournament Team in Frisco, Texas and The Meltdown All Tournament Team in Branson, Missouri. I am a highly motivated player, pure competitiveness is what pushes me to outwork players. My strength, quickness, knowledge for the game, and being diverse enough to post up in the paint and being able to handle/shoot on the perimeter is what gives me an advantage against other guards and players. I have a nose for the ball and I am able to score and defend in all positions on the court. Throughout my career, I have played every single position on the floor. I do not have the luxury other players may have of being on an experience-rich high school team; however, facing adversity every game has made me become a team-leader, a smarter player, and a better ball player in general. I was also honored to break the school scoring record during my junior year with 51 points in a game, along with reaching my 1000th point mile stone.
