Lauren Hillard '18 Recruiting Profile

At a young age, the intensity of watching my older brother's basketball games created a passion in me to play basketball that has only grown over time. As captain of my small private school's team, this passion continues to expand as I work to develop myself personally and athletically. I have learned to gain more confidence and be a leader, as well as a team-player. I use my knowledge to improve myself both on and off the court. Even on a bad night, I do not stop trying to improve. I am proud to be on our conference’s First Team four times, as well as making a thousand career points as a shooting guard and a small forward. I try to apply the same determination to my school work and work life. I have realized that small goals can lead to major results. I appreciate the influence of my family, mentors, and coaches which continue to support my efforts toward playing college basketball and earning a degree in physical therapy.
