Personal Statement
Hello, my name is Brittany Lapolla. I am a sophomore at Kingswood Regional High School in Wolfeboro NH. I live in a small town called Tuftonboro NH on the shores of Lake Winnipesaukee and near the castle in the clouds. I have been playing basketball since I was seven years old. My parents and I travel over an hour to go to AAU practice and some games over two hours. It is my dream to play college basketball. I am doing good in school. I have a GPA of 3.2/4.0 so far this year. All of my classes I take for CTP (college classes). I have been told that in the classroom I am a silent leader and on the court I am a loud leader.
I've been playing sports since I was six years old. I always loved playing sports and just watching it. I play soccer for the school. I used to play baseball. Pitched for four years and stopped playing because they wouldn't allow girls to play high school baseball. So, now I play softball for the school and ASA. This will be my third year playing ASA softball for the Nor’ Easters. I play hockey now and this is my first year playing. I also play basketball, for the school and AAU for many different teams. Recently I am playing in westbrook Maine. Out of all those sports I would choose basketball as my favorite sport. I just love the game. It's feels great playing with girls who also love playing the sport too. Making those fast breaks down the court. I am an outsider shooter. At 12 years old in a college gym I was shooting a foot behind the men's line at Saints A’s. in Manchester, NH
Outside of school and sports. I love making music and making crafts for the family and friends. During the winter, I would go skiing with my friends at Abenaki in wolfeboro. I would go snowmobiling with the family up to castle in the cloud in Moultonboro NH. During the summer, I love going to the ocean and camping. Most of all I try my best to hang out with all of my friends during my free times and practice my basketball skills.
