My name is Jennifer Atherton and I currently attend Parsippany High School in Parsippany, New Jersey. I have always had a great interest in basketball, having played since I was 8 years old. I am a shooting guard and occasional point guard. Playing at the AAU and Varsity level has really helped my skills to develop and has made me improve as an individual and team player. I do aspire to continue my basketball career in college and to become a successful student-athlete. I also hope to pursue a successful career and build important relationships with others.
This previous season, I received First Team All-Conference and Honorable Mention All-Daily Record for girls basketball. Sophomore year I also received Honorable Mention All-Conference.
My work ethic and dedication make me a good candidate for any team; I always try to improve my skills by practicing on my own. Moreover, I am a very well-rounded person, a trait that can be somewhat rare in student-athletes. I work very hard in school and at home to achieve top grades. I also make a profound effort to balance my time with extra-curricular activities and social interaction. As for college, I hope to attend an academically competitive school with a solid sports program for my level of play.
