Personal Statement

My name is Alexis Lovato Gurule and I am an 18 year old honor student who is a hard working and dedicated individual.  Since an early age I have strived and succeeded in becoming a leader in all aspects of my life.  I have served as team captain for many years in basketball and enjoy being a committed team player.  Besides participating in the regular school basketball seasons,  I have been actively and successfully been involved in the AAU league from an early age.  Since 2012, as an eighth grader, I have played as a starter at the High School Varsity level which has helped me further develop my talent and skills.  My confidence and self-discipline has been the foundation in being successful in my endeavors. It is with great hope and anticipation to fulfill my future goals as well.
