Jensen Hiegel '17 Recruiting Profile

Jensen's aspiration is to compete at the collegiate level in basketball  while majoring in Business, Criminal Justice or Physical Therapy.  She has always been a team player focusing on a win rather than personal stats.  Her goal is to make everyone around her better.    Jensen is a 3 year starter in basketball, all league honors as a freshman and sophomore at the guard position, while earning the coaches award.  This year she is a team captain and currently averaging over 14 points a game with 4 asssists and 4 steals playing post.  She is a member of the National Honor Society, Leader of her Strides group and a member of the Findlay YMCA Board as their youth representative.  Jensen  is a 3 year letterwinner in Soccer with a 23-0-1 League record and 2 regional tournament appearances.  As a freshman she helped her varsity soccer team to the regional finals.   Led Soccer team in scoring Sophomore and Junior Seasons.  She carries a 3.5 GPA and taking honors classes.  She attended St Michaels Catholic School through the 8th grade where she led her team to numerous championships.   Was chosen by Senior captain to kick penalty kick in sudden death of Regional tournament soccer game as a Freshman.  2nd team all league soccer as a Sophomore and Junior.  District Honorable Mention in both basketball and soccer.
