My name is Grace Pennington and I am a 5'10" Junior shooting guard/point guard at Olentangy High School. My goal is to play college basketball once I complete my high school career and I am looking forward to the challenges ahead as well as improving in a new structured program. I was honored to be named Second Team All-League, Honorable Mention All-District and I was the second leading scorer as a Freshman at Worthington Christian High School. I was also selected as an OHSBCA Top 100 underclassman and I finished the season with the most points by a Freshman in school history.
I LOVE the game of basketball. I have been playing the game since I was in first grade and I have been playing on the AAU circuit since fourth grade. The last few years, I have played with the Ohio Surge on a national level. I am very honored to be playing for Team Ohio for my final year of AAU. I am extremely competitive and I have been taught from the beginning that fundamentals matter and the proper skills of footwork, ball handling, and creating space. I am a team player and know the game very well. I am always looking to improve my individual skill to better help the team.
I am also a top student in school with a 3.9 GPA at a very strong academic school. I am a well rounded individual and love to be challenged. I am looking forward to what the next few years will hold and forging relationships for a lifetime in this recruiting process.
