Personal Statement
Competitive sports has always been apart of my life. Although I have played other sports, basketball has always been my favorite. My Sophomore basketball season has come with many blessings. I was a part of a Ringwood Lady Devils team that had its first winning season in 10 years. I received several conference and tournament awards as a Sophmore. We followed that up with another winning season this year and once again I received all conference honors in both of our conferences. I have also been blessed to be a part of the OK Lady Jazz Basketball Club. With the Lady Jazz I have learned what it takes to compete at the national level, winning the AAU West Coast National Tournament in 2015, the Primetime National Tournament in 2016 and the Bronze Division of Basketball on the Bayou this summer. I will always be in love to basketball after I graduate high school, but it has been my goal since the fifth grade to play at the college level. I am a dedicated player and, like many other basketball fanatics, I have definitely taken on the saying "Ball is Life" as words to live by.
Even though I am obsessed with basketball, I do make sure that school is a priority. It has been my goal to maintain a 4.0 GPA. I just fell short second semester of my junior year. I will still dedicate myself to excell the classroom. Due to my success in the classroom, I have been inducted as a member of the National Honor Society and BETA Club. I have also been an active member of FCCLA, serving as chapter Treasurer. Through these clubs I have had many opportunities to serve in my community. I am not sure what I want to major in, but I am considering radiology, Physical Therapy or athletic training.
