Personal Statement

Freshman Year

I have been able to maintain a 3.9 GPA and keeping up in Algebra 3-4.  I started all season on Varsity as a freshman.  I received the MVP award for my team and I made the 2013 PIL All-City team honorable mention I was the only Freshman on the team, and I also made the honor roll. I lead the team in rebounds with almost 300 also in blocked shots, I was 3rd in scoring and had my share of steals and assist. I was very happy to find out that I was invited to play in the KATU 2013 Joyce Washington All-Star Classic. I am the winner of The Cricket Wireless Oregonlive.com Good Sports Award Scholarship.  http://www.oregonlive.com/goodsport

This summer I will be traveling with Team Concept again, we will be at Oregon Elite Invitational May 17th-19th, The Oregon City Shootout June 28th-June 30th Seattle Midsummer Madness July 10th-14th. Ballin in the Ballroom Las Vegas Cal Sparks July 23rd-25th. East Bay Explosion in Oakland July 27th-29th.

Sophomore Year

I was Captain of my High School basketball team, I know its a big responsibility and I am ready for it. I received the Varsity Team Leadership award this season.  I also have been picked to be a writer for my High School Magazine The Grant Magazine (thegrantmagazine.com) it is a nationally awarded publication and I am honored to be picked to be a writer. I traveled to New York this spring to accept an award at Columbia University for our school magazine, we won the Presidents Gold Award only a few schools nationally received this award.

After High School I want to play basketball in college.  I have not really thought about where I would be going but that is not really the deciding factor for me.  As long as I can get a good education and play ball I will be fine.  I am interested in business and marketing or maybe be a physical therapist.  A dream of mine is to travel all over the world and learn new things and get new experiences.  After college I see myself being happy and having a profitable business or job..  My main goal in life is to be successful with everything I do.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
