Personal Statement
I am a hardworking student athlete on and off the court. Im very blessed to have been able to play basketball since I was little and play on the varsity level all three years of high school with a motivated team as well. Basketball has taught me many character traits that are vital to my life today. Traits such as determination, competitiveness, respect and responsibility, being a leader and hardworking in all that I do. Not only have I played basketball, but I also ran cross country for two years and track for three also on the varsity level. This has taught me to be able to adapt to different environments and to learn to be a very coachable athlete. It has also pushed me to be a leader for my teams, as I can be someone they look up to. I have acquired awards throughout the years such as obtaining varsity letters, and also being rookie of the year. Through perseverance, I have been honored to be on the honor roll all three years of high school and have been accepted in national honors society which requires 50 hours of community service each year.
I have always been passionate about basketball since I first started and throughout the years I have have learned much more and have gained skills to allow me to compete at a competitive level. I hope to not only accomplish goals on the court, but also in my schoolwork as well as I am a determined student that strives to be the best in all my studies. I am hoping to go to not only a competitive college for basketball, but also a college that will push me to learn more and has high academic standards.
