Hi, my name is Marisa Morano and I am a current junior at Villa Joseph Marie High School in Holland, PA. I have been playing basketball since I was four years old and I have always aspired to play basketball at the collegiate level. I want to play at a college where I will improve and greatly contribute to my team's success. My strengths are having a high basketball IQ, great court sense, ball handling, passing, and defense. Another one of my strengths is my work ethic. I am devoted to reaching my full potential, so I work on all aspects of my game everyday. I have been raised in a family that has showed hard work is key to being successful. I think being a team player is very important both on the court and off the court. I believe that being a great team player is critical to being a great point guard. A true point guard always gets the ball to the player who is in the best position to score. I like to think of myself as a great teammate and I am also very coachable. I give my all in everything I do. I am determined to complete any task that comes my way. The lessons I have learned in basketball will carry into my success in my career. I strive to be extremely successful in both basketball and in my academics. Academics are very important to me. Like in basketball, I work very hard in the classroom. I maintain a 4.0 GPA.
