"The legs feed the wolf." This quote from the movie, "Miracle" has become a mantra for how I approach not only basketball, but many other aspects of my life. In it's simplest form, "The legs feed the wolf" means that you get out of something, what you put into it.
In basketball, I give 110% at each and every practice and game. I arrive early and stay late, often times running up and backs and "suicides" by myself, after the rest of my team has gone to the locker room to change. While I am tired from practice, I know that this additional workout, will make me stronger. "The legs feed the wolf"
I approach academics the same way. I am relentless in my pursuit of perfection from every subject I take in school. I spend countless hours, even late into the night, studying or doing homework. While it would be much easier for me to just go to sleep, I know this additional work will make me a better student. "The legs feed the wolf"
I plan to continue this approach as I enter my college years, in both my academic and athletic pursuits. I feel that my hard work and determination to succeed would be a valuable asset to any institution and their basketball program. "The legs feed the wolf"
