Personal Statement

I love the game of basketball.  It is that simple- I have played the game since I was 5 years old , traveling with my older brother, an hour in the car on Saturday mornings, to the YMCA for the basketball program.   I remember playing basketball at the Y, with all ages of children and simply playing because I loved the game.  I still feel that way.   I work very hard, I am dedicated to my sport and my academic success.  I carry a 3.9 GPA, 4.2 weighted and all CP and AP courses to best prepare me for a degree in Elementary Education.  I am also dedicated to my community and participate in various community service activities, I work parttime and I am a Varsity athlete in Cross Country, Volleyball and Softball as well as Basketball.  Staying positive and having a great basketball IQ are important to me as well, I work with younger children and pass on my knowledge of the game, so that they can also enjoy a lifetime of athletics, just as I have.  I would LOVE to play basketball at the next level, as a team Captain and All-conference player- I feel like I have a lot more to give and am looking for the opportunity to do so at the collegiate level.

  • Notes: Named to the USJN/Nike National all-star team. She has played for Mid Penn Motion for the past 2 years. She is one of the leading scorers and rebounding threats. She contributes in many ways, has a high basketball IQ and is very coach-able. She is primarily a guard and we like to use her in position 2,3,4 mostly, but she is very versatile and can cover positions 1-5. She is also very hardworking, dependable and has a good attitude.
