My name is Alayna Cappelli and I am a 5'5" sophomore from Trinity Senior High School. Basketball has been my passion for as long as I can remember. I continue to push myself to become a better player everyday. I am very competitive and strive for excellence. However, I consider myself a team player that has a very high basketball IQ who is very coachable. I am very optimistic which has allowed me to develop great bonds with my teammates and coaches on and off the court. I have been able to develop several leaderships skills by starting as a freshman on our varsity basketball team. That opportunity showed me that a point guard needs to be very vocal, encouraging, and lead by example. Not only am I committed to the game of basketball, but I take my academics just as serious. I have maintained a 4.0 GPA that has placed me on the High Honor Roll every year. I have played on the Western PA Bruins team for the past 5 years. We play in many local tournaments as well as out of state. Besides basketball, I am also a starter on our varsity volleyball team. Outside of my athletics, I enjoy spending time with family and friends and participating in other activities such as skiing and swimming. I would like to attend a college that offers a great athletic program as well as valuable education. I believe through my hard work and dedication that it will enable me to continue my basketball career at the college level.
