Personal Statement

I am a 6’-1” junior, 3 sport athlete at Blackhawk High School.  I have started every game as a freshman, sophomore and junior on the high school team that went to the semi-finals and finals in the WPIAL playoffs in three years and the quarterfinals, semifinals and finals in the PIAA playoffs.  This past year, we won the Section, Districts and the State Playoffs. I have also played AAU for the past 7 years to prepare me for the varsity level and eventually the collegiate level.  I play for the Drill 4 Skill Wildcats with Coach John Miller who developed the Drill 4 Skill system.  I am a power forward and pride myself on hustling, rebounding and being both an offensive and defensive player.

I am a hard worker and give my team members encouragement and leadership. I always strive to be better and give 100% every practice and game.

I am undecided on the size of school that I would like to attend and would like the school to be relatively close to my hometown; although I am open to other opportunities.  I am currently interested in forensic science or criminal justice.  I am very dedicated to my scholastic achievements as well as sports.  I currently have a 4.2 and I am in the gifted program.

To be a good student athlete, I think you need to be focused on both your sport and achieving good grades.  My goal for now and in the future is to succeed in both.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
