I plan to play college basketball. It has been a dream of mine since I was seven years old. I would love to be given the opportunity to play at the college level because it would get me closer to my lifetime goal-- to make a career playing the sport I love. I am a dedicated young woman, and I believe I can be capable of anything I put my mind to.
Two of the biggest things that separate me from other girls are my dedication to academics, and the way I recognize my role on my team(s). I am constantly staying on top of my grades and getting all of my work done inside the classroom. I strive for excellence academically, and I will not settle for less.
While it is true that I try my best in the classroom, I am constantly giving my best effort on the court as well. I try to make my team as successful as possible all the time. I feel like a big part of being successful is knowing how everyone on the team needs to work together. This is why I take it upon myself to try my best and help my teammates out by not telling, but reminding them of what is expected of them-- in both practices and game. I also strive to be the most coachable athlete there is.
Responsibility and leadership are two of my best characteristics. I posses both on and off of the court. I believe these two traits will help me out with multiple situations. These two characteristics are what separates me from all other candidates.
