I started playing basketball when I was 10 years old. I wasn't absolutely sure I wanted to play when I was first asked, but after that first season of learning and having some court experience, I knew I wanted to be apart of basketball until the day I die. I knew that playing in college is a huge opportunity for me and my future, and I knew that I wanted to play in the collegiate level ever since I was little.
I am a lefty, however, I am very capable of going with my weak hand and I am confident in using my right hand at any time. I have a consistant shot and when I'm on, it's hard to stop me. I have strong ball handling skills, and I'm an extremely good free throw shooter, around 80% in game time situations. I am a very coachable player, and I will be the most dedicated and hardest working recruit you will find.
On and off the court, I am a leader some how, in the classroom, no shortcuts, I maintain a high GPA, I study and preform in the classroom at my very best ability, as well on the court, I help my teammates out when in need, while encouraging them as well.
I push myself until I can't push anymore, the I push myself one more time, I want to attend a college where I can be able to be a leader and push myself on the court and also in the classroom. I want to be a great role model to everyone old and young, big and small, boy or girl, everyone. I like competition, I know I might not be the best, but I'm sure as heck I am going to push myself to be able to beat them.
All my life I've heard, you're too small, you're not fast enough, you'll never make it big, I never once got down, I just look them straight in the eyes, and say "Watch me." One of my favorite quotes are " If you ever feel like giving up, remeber why you started."
Excuses are for people don't want it bad enough. To me, if your dreams don't scare you, they're not big enough. People always have said, don't bite off more than you can chew, but in my opinion, I'd rather choke on greatness, then nibble on mediocrity.
