Personal Statement

Goals & Aspirations;

My goals are to continue to work hard in my academics and athletics in order to earn a division I collegiate athletic scholarship to play women's basketball, while studying to earn my Baccalaureate of Science degree in Nero Science and Doctorate degree in the Health Science field. Other aspirations are to become one of the top players in the country by leading the nation in scoring as well as all defensive categories to help lead my team to a national championship.

What makes me a good candidate for your team?

I will bring my hard work, dedication, positive attitude, very good basketball skills and knowledge, my competitive nature, my determination and drive to succeed to win, and having mental toughness to compete and learn, in order to improve myself to make the team more successful.

What makes me different from other recruits in the followings;

Character;

I believe, I am different from other recruits in my character, largely  due to the way my parents raised me. First I was brought up with a solid foundation in church learning and understanding right and wrong, while being taught at home to respect others, working hard to achieve success, and to strive give my best in whatever endeavors. My parents instilled in me good values and moral ethics that allows me to adapt to any number of situations. I was born with and taught leadership skills from early childhood which continue to use. I am a winner and do not like to loose. I am very self driven and self motivated. I have a great love and passion for the game. I have a positive attitude. I believe my continued growth as a good person and developmental skill sets allow me to be different from other recruits in positive ways.

Athletics;

I believe, I am different from other recruits in that I was born with a great deal of athleticism and have worked hard to improve my basketball skills. I have the ability and skills on offense to beat the defender off the dribble with either hand and finish on either side of the basket. I shoot with a high percentage from the floor and free throw line. I have the ability on defense to guard all positions very well. I rebound the ball very well on both offense and defense. I am a very unselfish player, and try to help make players on my team better. I believe I have a high basketball IQ, however each year I continue to learn more an improve my knowledge and skills. I play very well in pressure situations. I am also able to execute under pressure because of the my stamina and conditioning. I play and compete at a very high level.

Academics;

I believe, I am different from other recruits because academics are extremely important to me. I take great pride and ownership, that I work as hard to maintain the highest level I can achieve all the times. I have always performed and achieves success academically at a high level. I know that I am a student first and my academics are also first priority. I expect my academic goals may be different from other recruits because of the career path I choose. I am equally as competitive and determined in the classroom as on the basketball court.
