Personal Statement
I have been playing basketball since 2nd grade. I and now a senior in high school. So that would make it 11 years. Also my 6th grade year I was the first 6th grader in my school ever to be able to play varsity and not only play to also start. Going into high school I wasn't nervous to play the game because my 8th grade summer I played travel ball with a team called Tennessee Team Pride based out of Murfreesboro. That made me realize how much faster the game was. I have played travel ball for four years now. Two with Tennessee Team Pride and two with Flight. Playing travel ball has helped me tremendously. Knowing how to do certain moves and also improve my game.
Here is a letter of recommendation from my travel ball coach.

To Whom It May Concern:
It is a pleasure to have been asked to write a letter of recommendation on behalf of Taylor Gracia. I began coaching Taylor from the summer of 2010 through the summer of 2012 (3 years). I have coached for both TN Team Pride and Nike Flight organizations respectfully and Taylor has been my point guard for all 3 summers. In the summer of 2012. My Nike Flight team posted a record of 4 and 1 in three of the most respected exposure tournaments in the country that year (Battle of the Boro - TN, Run For The Roses – KY and Nike Music City Madness - TN). Taylor started as my point guard for all of those games. It has been a joy to see her continued growth against some of the best players nation-wide.
First, Taylors is dependable, trustworthy and hard working. She has displayed incredible endurance and an ability to, at times, play the entire game and make great basketball decisions throughout. Driving over an hour to practice, in each direction, Taylor never missed practice and always brought a great smile and attitude that was infectious throughout the team. She was a team leader that I could trust to teach all of our offenses to any new players that joined the team throughout the year.
Second, Taylor has a tremendous ability to know when to lead and when to follow. Her positive energy makes it easy for others to follow the success and work ethic that she displays. In playing the point guard position, your teammates really depend on you to make the proper “read” and decisions during each game. Taylor has a natural instinct at making the correct pass at the correct time and looking to score at crucial times during “big” games. In 3 years, I never had a player or parent complain about Taylor’s leadership on or off the floor.
Finally, Taylor possess the ability to produce great results on the floor. She’s not just a nice leader but she’s a good basketball player that competes not only in games but also in practice. Taylor is a fantastic shooter and ball handler and has the type of skills that will produce great results in the college game. She averaged over 10ppg and had a 2 to 1 assist to turnover ratio in her 3 years with me. I strongly encourage you to give Taylor Gracia a strong review. I believe she is the type of player that will help grow your women’s basketball program tremendously “on the floor”, in the classroom and as a quality student at your college or university. If there are any questions, or if I can be of any other assistance, please contact me at your earliest convenience.
Sincerely,
Coach Michael Holloway (615-556-8388) / [email protected]
