A great coach once said, being a champion is not a sometime thing, it’s an-all-the-time thing. I follow this approach by being a champion on and off the court, no matter what.
Through hard work and dedication, I've developed myself as a multi-position player. I have skill, athleticism and a great work ethic and I believe I will be a great benefit to your program through leadership, skill and discipline. As a leader on and off the court, I encourage my teammates to give their best effort, I give direction when necessary, and I lead by example. I've learned that servant leadership, helping others before I help myself, is a great approach and I'm working to put it into practice.
I have been playing competitive basketball since the 3rd grade. Since I was usually one of the tallest girls on the court, I played post. But over time, I have worked hard to develop ball handling skills and shooting skills. My trainer, Walter Scott, has provided great instruction to help to develop my skills away from the basket. As a result, I can play in various spots on the floor from the inside-out.
I also work hard in the classroom and I strive to help others succeed as well. I go the extra mile to help my peers understand the subject matter and I am always available to help.
My goals and aspirations for college include the opportunity to continue to compete in basketball and gain a great education that will prepare me for a successful career. My goal is to work hard to help my team win and accomplish something great. As a student, my goal is to continue to make great grades so that I may graduate with high honors.
I am driven to succeed and I look forward to help my team win and my university win.
