Personal Statement
Basketball has been apart of my life since the sixth grade, my parents have video of me playing at age 2. I have always hoped to play at the college level, it would be an invaluable opportunity to better myself educationally while playing the sport I most enjoy. Playing in college is a chance to compete in the classroom and on the court, a chance to pursue your dreams and enhance life skills.
I am a good defensive player, a hustler and have good court awareness during the game. In tough situations, I try to step up and lead...get the ball to the hot hand or take the shot myself. I don't mind a challenge and will always work hard to better prepare myself. I am a coachable player, so constructive criticism does not bother me.
I am attentive in class and study hard at home to keep my grades up. I mainly focus on subjects I'm trying to getting better in and this takes a lot of my time off the basketball court. I like creating living type environments on the computer, maybe one day be a designer or graphics person, but I'm also interested in areas like drafting and mechanical engineering.
I would like to attend a college that cares for my future as well as my basketball skills, the kind of school that brings out the best in me. A place that understand that good character is just as important as winning. Any university that is willing to take a chance on me will receive an honest, hard working student-athlete determine to be great and make my family, friends and school proud.
