Karissa King '19 Recruiting Profile

    My name is Karissa King. I want to play at the next level and you and your team  could be just what I'm looking for. I've been working very hard at becoming the best student athlete that I can possibly be to help make that dream a reality. 

    My GPA for high school is 3.98. I've been playing Comp basketball since the 4th grade and AAU since the 6th grade. 

    I have started for Northridge High School basketball  my 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th grade years.   I have received a Honorable Mention every year of my high school career. I ranked in the top ten in assists and steals every year of high school. I was chosen to be Team Captain my junior and senior year. 

    I have been Team Captain and the point guard on my AAU team "Primo" out of SLC, UT for the past 5 summers in which we have won several tournaments. 

   I was recruited by the SLC Lady Rebels, a traveling team.  This team traveled to most of the big Tournaments in the west, and had one of the best records. 

   I have attended the first 2 of 3 national point guard camps at PGC Basketball. There I learned how to be a leader and how to encourage, help and assist my teammates play at a higher level. I believe being a supportive and positive leader is my highest strength. Then again, giving a no-look pass to a cutting player for an easy lay up is always fun too. 

   I love playing basketball. It has been so much a part of my life so far I can't imagine life without it. But that being said, I know I can also use it as a tool to help me gain a college degree. Which is also very important to me. 

    I hope we get the opportunity to meet in person and talk basketball. But if not, I would like to thank you for taking time out of, what I'm sure is a very busy day, to read my profile.
