Throughout my educational experience, I have played several sports. While I enjoy playing volleyball and soccer, basketball has always been my favorite. Basketball has helped encourage me to get my grades up from the C's and D's that I had in middle school to my 3.9 GPA. Playing and competing has helped me develop an ability to work with others despite our relationship off court and has helped me develop responsibility. Every year, that I've played for the high school, I made sure that I had made enough money to pay for the fees without help from my mother or anyone else.
Basketball is not just a team sport to me that you can play for a season, go shoot a few hoops out of, and just leave what you learn until the start of the next season. It is something that you should always be working on and be dedicated. During my sophomore year I was in an AP class that took alot of effort but I maintained a high grade while never missing a practice or game. In my Freshman year there were days that I knew I would be walking several miles home after practice because the bus leaves after school. I have been dedicated to playing basketball and I would love to keep that going.
Thank you.
