Personal Statement

I want to attend college and play basketball while getting a great education.

My three strongest attributes are tenacity, work ethic, and being coachable. I love to play basketball and have played since fourth grade.

Basketball has given me great opportunities to grow as a player and as a person. I've played in the Cardinal AAU network for five years, "playing up" with older players in tournaments in lots of different states.

Besides AAU, I play at Bishop Ireton High School in the WCAC, a very tough conference. I am a point guard and love to lead the team and encourage my teammates.

My studies are important to me. My GPA is 4.0.

Basketball has helped me become more disciplined: it has required hard work, effective time management, and getting along well with different kinds of people, particularly coaches and players whose styles and personalities span a broad range.

I am genuinely excited about continuing to grow as a person and a player throughout high school, in travel basketball, and in college!

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
