Lydia Goolsby '18 Recruiting Profile

As a student athlete, my goal is to first, graduate from high school as a honor graduate, with an Advance Diploma. I desire to attend a college and play basketball on a team that supports these goals. What makes me a good candidate is that I am committed to my goals. I believe in maintaining good character both on and off of the court. I work hard at perfecting my skills, and I am a team player. What makes me different is my personality. Although I want to win every time, I take defeat as an opportunity to examine my mistakes, work on them, and get it right the next time. Very rarely am I upset. I am fun to be around because I like to lighten the mood, when it is too heavy. I have a very joyful spirit, and I try to make others see the bright side of any dark cloud. In athletics, I am a good listener, and a quick learner. I remain aggressive on both offense and defense. I maintain good sportsmanship, and I am a team player. Finally, academically, I am very diligent in my effort to perform at the highest level, in all academic subjects. I manage my time very wisely, because academics are my first priority.
