Personal Statement
I aspire to be an orthodontist or dentist. I understand the importance of attaining a college degree in order to better myself. Although playing basketball is my passion, I realize that in the long run my education will be crucial to my success as an adult. I am very good at balancing my school work and my practices. I am very self motivated when it comes to practice, in the off season, a lot of times I am the only one that goes to the gym to work on shooting drills and ball handling. I am a very hard worker and I learn new things at a fast pace. I have always had great floor presence and vision. I have the ability to be able to generate great plays, and I am able to get the best from my teammates. My hard work has allowed me to become a great outside shooter, shooting over 40% from the 3-point range (64 -3's in 22 games). My parents have always instilled in me great morals, because of this, I am very humble, have great sportsmanship and realize that my athletic talent is a gift, a gift that I don't take for granted. I also realize that getting an education is my priority, and basketball is just a great benefit that goes along with it.
