I am Lexa Hunter and I began playing basketball in the 6th grade. Starting simply out of pure interest, the companionship that I have gained, the coaches that I have worked with, and the love and opportunity that I have received are all things that I would have never imagined attaining through this sport. With that said, I want to advance my athletic career and play at the collegiate level because I recognize that it is a rare opportunity that has the potential to change my life.
My natural athleticism allows me to rebound at high rates, maintain explosive defense, and have quick movement. I have a solid basketball IQ and understand the fundamentals of the game. I am a team leader who works to lead by example while also encouraging my teammates. I am extremely coachable and strive to be the hardest working player and recruit that you will find.
In the classroom, I challenge myself through AP classes and proudly maintain a high GPA. I also volunteer at local youth basketball camps, participate in various academic clubs, and am currently a member of our student council.
I want to attend a college at the highest division of competition possible, both academically and athletically. I am open to all options, as I seek the college with the right fit for me and my goals. I ultimately aspire to become an influential role model to all my peers and make my parents proud.
