Personal Statement
I have always enjoyed sports and invested most of my time into them. I enjoy playing different sports, but have always stuck with basketball. My family is a sport family; there is always a ball somewhere around wherever we are. In 7th and 8th grade I began to love the sport and have never stopped. Most of all, I love to compete. I love to go against something even when others expect you to lose. In my high school career, two years in a row our team has gone against a team that has been undefeated the past three years in our championship games, and semifinals. We have lost both games by a combined 4 points. Although we lost, I would never want to play a different team. My team and I enjoy the competition and if we are going to win we want to beat the best team we possibly can. I believe that my competitive drive makes me excel as an athlete. Not only the want to win, but to do everything I can so that we have the best chances possible.
I want a school that fits who I am, a school that I can compete at both academically and athletically. With the several different sports I have played and have picked up on, I believe that I have what it takes to be a leader and bring my athletic ability in order to help a team. I believe I have the competitiveness, the will, and leadership to compete at a college level. I understand the commitment and I am completely committed to be the best I can be and do my part to make my team the best it could possibly be.
