Personal Statement
Every athlete's dream is to be able to be successful and one day repay their parents for everything that they have done for us, as we grow, not only as a player, but as a person. My parents have always been my biggest fans in any sport, or in anything that I have done throughout my life. Basketball was not the first sport that I picked up, but it was the one that I fell most in love with. I have played soccer, volleyball, ran track, even tried picking up gymnastics; and I still currently play softball for my high school. However my decision to go to college and to play the sport that I love will hopefully allow me to make a bigger impact in the world, not as a athlete, but as an individual.
I started playing the game of basketball at the age of 11 and ever since then I have been in love with basketball. I started out playing rec, but then I was asked to play with one of the only tournament teams in the area. From that point on, my love for this game has never stopped; and I have created such a strong passion for this game. To this day, I am forever grateful for that coach and my teammates for helping me transition from playing at a recreational level to a higher level of basketball. I think that's why I want to play in college, because I love pushing myself to play at a higher level and to play at full competition. I am not the type of girl to step down from a challenge, because I dislike losing. I have a drive to work hard; and I will always give 100%.
