Personal Statement
Update 3/12/2018
My Division 1 high school basketball team was Regional champions. We made it to Sectional Finals Elite 8 and lost to the 2018 State champions. Our season was 23-3. I was one of 2 seniors and 4 players returning to play varsity basketball. I made 1st Team All-Conference and led my team in points and assists. I made the All-State Honorable Mention Team and the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches’ All-State All -Star Team for the D1 North Team. I have also been nominated for their All-State Academic Team. I had a great senior year with great teammates and coaches.
Update 1/21/2018
My Division 1 high school basketball team is ranked in Wisconsin’s Top 10 WSN Coaches Poll. I am leading my team in points per game and assists. Please search Alina Hampton to see my HUDL videos and Alina Hampton Post Crescent for newspaper highlights and interviews.
Update 4/22/2017
The 2016-2017 FVA conference was loaded with talent. Our team took 4th in conference, which was led by the D1 State Champions and D2 State Semi-Finalists. Our team took 4th in conference with all of our losses under ten points to some of the best teams in the state. I led our team in scoring, rebounds, assists and steals. I played all positions at different times throughout the year. I had three games where I had a "double-double." I made All-Conference Honorable Mention, just missing Second Team by 1 point. I made the All-USA American Family Insurance All-Area/Region Honorable Mention Team for the 2nd year in a row. My coaches selected me as a Captain for our Kimberly Papermakers this year and awarded me with the Papermaker MVP Award for the season. I am looking forward to my final AAU season and leading my Kimberly Papermakers in my senior year. I hope you can watch me play this spring/summer or next high school season. Watch my video and take a look at my upcoming schedule. I am looking at colleges this summer and hope to find a good fit for my pre-medical undergraduate degree.
Thank you for your interest.

Update 3/1/2016
My coach just told me I made the All-Conference 2nd Team for our Fox Valley Association conference. Yeah!
Update 2/14/2016
This has been an awesome season playing D1 high school basketball for the Kimberly Papermakers. I am a starting guard for my team and lead the team in scoring. I am averaging over 43% for FGM, 78% for FTM and my 3-point made baskets made are over 33%. My rebounding for the team has been a good stat for me as well. Our team will take second in our Fox Valley Association conference this season. First and third places are to state-ranked teams for D1 and D2. Our team this year is a young team. Last year we had seven seniors that played and I played specifically behind two all-state seniors. I had the opportunity to be mentored by senior leaders that helped me lead our team this year as a sophomore. I have decided to concentrate on basketball this year in off-season and not play high school soccer. I will be playing AAU basketball for a national team. Our AAU team is Wisconsin Flight Elite National 10 - 2018. Our club is sponsored by Adidas. We will be playing in seven NCAA viewing tournaments in Minn, Wis, Ill, and Iowa. Come check us out! My school academics is going well. I've taken two AP courses and three honors courses this year. My GPA is over 4.0 and I am currently in the top 3% of our class.
Thank you for your interest in me.

There are a lot of things about me as a basketball player, as a person, and as a student that would make me a great candidate for any college basketball team.
I have been selected to play on the girls' varsity basketball team as a freshman this year. This is quite an honor and accomplishment. Coach says I have a very high basketball IQ. I am excited for the season as our team is considered #1 in the state for Division 1 and is expected to win it all this year. We have two guards on our team that are ranked in the top 50 players in the state of Wisconsin. It's an honor to practice and play with this team.
A few items as a basketball player that make me an awesome candidate are my quick moves to the basket, my strong ability to handle the ball, my shooting and my defensive awareness. I think having these skills as a player is a key part on playing high level basketball. I am a solid, well-rounded basketball player, playing well at both offensive and defensive positions. These skills make me different from other recruits.
I also have some personality traits that are very key as well. I am a very strong leader on my basketball team. I can see that my teammates look up to me as a friend and a teammate. I also am a very kind person. I don't believe in leaving people out, so whenever I see one of my teammates or anybody for that matter feeling down, I will always try to help them out to get them in a better mood. I also play on a premier and state soccer team which gives me some experience in playing other sports at a high level.
I am a very good student I have a high GPA of a 4.0 and I've never had any behavior issues. I take academics very seriously, because I know how much of an impact they have on sports and other important things.
Some of my collegiate goals and aspirations are that I plan to become an orthopedic surgeon and study medicine in college. I plan to play college basketball and am excited to see where it takes me.
I believe that I am a perfect candidate for any basketball team and I hope that some of you will see that.
