My name is Brooke Freitag, I am interested in playing at the highest level in college basketball. I am a 5'8" point guard who's been the starting the point guard since freshman year for Osseo-Fairchild High School varsity. I come from a strong athletic background. I'm a three sport athlete, volleyball, basketball, and softball. My dad had went to La Cross Central for high school and went to state in basketball and football. Had gotten scholarships to play football and baseball. He chose to play college baseball for the Badgers and played some professional baseball. My mom had also went to La Cross Central she had went to state all four years in track and cross country. I grew up with four brothers who are strong athletes as well. Two of my brothers were all conference in baseball. One was top in the state and got a scholarship to play D1 baseball in Iowa. Later on, he ended up playing for Madison tech. and lead his team to the College World Series and was one of the leading hitters in the league. The other was also all-conference all four years in baseball. With playing three different sports, I have gotten all-conference my freshman year and second team all-conference my sophomore year in softball. Basketball, I got all-conference and nominated as defensive player of the year my sophomore year, 1st team all-conference and 3rd team all-northwest this year. I play for Playmakers 17u elite, coached by Lionel Jones. My education I take seriously, my GPA is about a 3.9. I am interested in the taking part in the health field for my career. I want to play in college just like my brother and dad did .What I am as a player, I see the floor well, looking for a pass to make or an opening to take. Defense is one of my strong suits, I like giving my opponent pressure and from that I get many deflections and steals. I want to be part of a strong program that knows what they want, will keep me on track, and makes me feel part of the team. Basketball is important to me and is a sport that I have always enjoyed and wanted to play in college.
