As a returning varsity basketball player this sophomore season I have already learned important tools needed to succeed. I am the first freshman to make varsity under the current coach so I was able to learn how to step into a role that was different for the program. Later that season I fractured my spine. Being off the court for 8 weeks taught me to always look at the positives and to stay motivated. The quote, “A minor setback for a major comeback” is the reason I strive for greatness.
I want to compete at the collegiate level because I have a competitive drive that will push to help any team succeed. I am very adaptable when it comes to positions and roles on a team. Being a guard, but one of the tallest on my high school team, I have been able to show my leadership in many different spots. Academics are very important to me, so I want to go to school that will challenge me in the class room and on the court. I believe my willings to always give my all can help your team!
