Personal Statement
Sports have shown me how strong my mind and body actually are and have shown me that I can handle anything that life throws at me with some hard work and a positive attitude. My team is the most important thing about basketball to me. They are my family and I think that togetherness is a very important aspect of any good team and I want to be a great teammate and friend, and a hard working player for the girls that play by my side.
I put absolutely all of myself into everything I do whether its basketball, school, or even just helping out around the house. If I really want something I will do absolutely everything in my power to achieve it. I lift weights and do cardio every day and have found really good systems to help me do that and juggle all of my advanced classes, I spend an hour or more a day shooting and playing 3 on 3 with guys at my gym and some of the girls on my team. At the beginning of my sophomore basketball season I had to get a tumor removed for my armpit and wasn’t allowed to play, I still came to every single practice so that I could memorize the plays and support my teammates, I would even do agility drills out in the hallway while everyone was practicing so that I could continue to improve even while I was injured.
