3 years ago I would have never imagined myself finishing among the top 25 in the AIA State Girls Golf Tournament. In fact, 3 years ago I wasn’t even a golfer. Today I find myself striving to compete as a golfer at the collegiate level. It is my ability to learn, my dedication to practice, and my growing love of the game that has shaped me into the aspiring student athlete I am today. This desire to learn and my commitment to practice will make me an asset for any academic and golf program that I am fortunate enough to participate in. As a student athlete I take pride in learning new things and continuing my education in all areas. In all that I do I know that practice makes perfect. It is through this understanding that I know I need to commit myself to practicing my golf game, improving my academics, and portraying myself to others with integrity and honor so that I may be an exemplary representative for a college. I have grown so much in my golfing, academics, and overall personality and it would be an honor to represent a college as a student athlete. Just as I did when I first starting playing golf three years ago, I will work hard to succeed and I will never give up.
