Personal Statement
I began playing golf the summer before my freshman year and ever since then I have been looking forward to every tournament that is available to me. My dad is my coach for every sport that I have played and he has been a major help in my swing. I have never known anyone who knows my golf game better than he does, without him I do not think that I would be where I am today. He motivates me to become better and has always been there every step of the way in my golf lessons. Every year I have worked really hard to fix my swing and better my golf techniques. On my golf team at school, only the top six girls are able to play and I made the team within seconds. I was so happy that I made the team, but I knew that it was just the beginning and I had to work twice as hard. Every year I climbed up the ladder from being 5th to 3rd and now this year I was finally the number one player on the team.
Golf is not an easy sport nor a hard one and that is what makes me enjoy it the most. I am not only competing against other girls, but also myself and against the course which makes golf so enjoyable for me. Everyone is not perfect and we do lose sometimes and that is what strives me to continue playing. My number one goal is to be able to continue playing golf in the future, especially in college. I am looking forward to continue this sport because it is a passion that I carry with me and it makes me the person I am today. I am ready to bring out a good attitude and work hard to become a better golfer. I am excited and ready to begin the next chapter of my life and I want golf to be apart of it. Thank you.
