Personal Statement
I’ve been playing golf since I was five years old, and I have loved it ever since! I have a passion for our wonderful game and the drive to improve every single day. I began playing tournament golf when I was eight years old. I’ve played in U.S. Kids Tournaments, Pleasanton First Tee, and San Ramon Golf Course (SRGC tournaments). I’m currently a SRGC academy cadet, which is a year round program. The Academy is coached by Jim Collins and Denise Philbrick. My coaches have inspired my fellow cadets and me to follow the Academy motto of “Be a Finisher”, which has become my personal slogan both on and off the course. I currently help with younger classes at my academy and I volunteer with U.S. Kids tournaments, which allows me to give back to this wonderful game! My personal commitment to these programs has developed my strong work ethic, which has been invaluable in becoming a scholar athlete. Additionally, I participate in a Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) certified golf fitness program, which prepares me for the rigors of tournament golf. I’ve been a Varsity Scholar Athlete since my freshman year and qualified for post season play, North Coast Section (NCS) Tournament of Champions, placing tied for 22nd (freshman) and 14th (sophmore). On the course, I focus on taking the round one shot at a time while maintaining a positive attitude and a smile on my face. I’m excited to play great golf at the college level and getting a great education in the oncoming years. I’m looking forward to hearing from you soon! Thanks. Alexis
