Personal Statement

Golf is a huge part of my life and I absolutely love it.  I realize that dreams and goals don't "just happen".  They are earned through dedication, hard work and commitment. Being part of a university team would mean the world to me as I have worked hard to achieve success in golf.  Selection for a college golf team will be a dream come true and the completion of one of my long term goals.  My passion for golf is matched by my drive to learn.  I have loved every minute of my role as an International Baccalaureate student and look forward to college studies.  I am humbled by my selection for leadership programs, awards and honors I've earned.  One of my most humbling moments came when I was selected as the 2015 AJGA Jerry Cole Sportsmanship award.  Attributes that define me best are organized, independent, dedicated, aspiring, giving, loving, good listener, and a leader. My family is of huge importance to me as they support me in all my dreams and show me so much love.

UPDATES:

National Teen Leadership Program - July 2016 Conference - Received top award for the Conference for my achievements in academics, community service, athletics, and leadership.

AJGA - April 2016 -One of only 7 girls nationally to be selected as finalists for the AJGA Presidents' Leadership Award.

June 2016:  I was just selected by Assistance League to attend an all expense paid trip to a national leadership conference in July!

BTW!  How many times do you think I have made a hole-in-one?

I participate in AJGA Leadership Links to raise and donate money.

  • 6/22/16 to 6/24/16
  • 6075 yards. Par 72. 75/134. I shot 77, 77, 79 and placed 7/24. The course layout was extremely hilly and required hitting targets and good course management. I hit 14 greens two of the days, and 12 greens the third. The greens were super fast. I managed the 95 degree heat well, and my strong drives and low ball flight were a definite advantage in the high gusty winds.
