Personal Statement
I play golf for Northglenn High School because my school, The Academy, doesn't have a golf team. Northglenn is currently a 5A school. I have been playing golf since I was 7 years old and a couple years ago I realized that golf is something I am really passionate about. I consider myself a high achiever, I love being super busy and having things to do so that's why I'm participate in StuCo, NHS, cross country, and golf, obviously. I am the manager of Northglenn's Boys' Golf Team and I also manage the football team at my school. And this year I am captain of the cross country team. Last year I ran Varsity level cross country and that helped in my mental focus for golf. I also volunteer as much as I can because I love to be around people and I love being involved with as much as I can. I volunteer at an elementary school as much as I can, as well as a week-long camp every summer. This year, I am taking 3 AP classes.
I started my freshman year of golf off rough, at about 105, but since then I have been shooting a 20 stroke difference, averaging about an 83. Last season, I was League Champion of my Conference and my average was about an 85. I love to practice to make my golf game as good as it can get! I am definitely goal oriented and I strive to meet that goal in a timely manner. Golf is definitely my passion, but I also have a desire to be a PA (Physician's Assistant). So I would study biology or chemistry or engineering for a BA and then transfer to another college with a great PA program. I work hard in everything I do and thank you so much for your consideration! :-)
