Personal Statement
Since the moment I was able to walk, I remember having golf in my life. I started off with putting and slowly made my way through the motions to become where I currently am at. I have dedicated endless hours and days to bettering myself at the sports that I love, especially golf. Now, many years later, I am a student-athlete with A/B Honor Roll and a top-10 ranking for my grade.
I have competed in varsity golf since I joined the school golf team in 6th grade. That first year, I made it to regionals before dropping out due to an injury. In 7th grade, my team and I got District and Regional Runner-Up, getting all the way to States. In 8th Grade, my team and I got District Runner-Up yet again, but were disqualified after our teammates did not show Regionals.
I also participate in many extracurricular activities: I am the captain of our school's debate team; I am the Director of Shows for my school's marching band; I am part of the AVID program at my school; I volunteer as a manager for other sports at my school such as track, softball, and tennis; and more!
I have overcome having five knee surgeries in April of 2021, and by July 2021, I was off my crutches and swinging a club again at the local driving range. I have also beaten COVID-19 once or twice, and still I am playing golf.
I am well-rounded, strong, and a determined person. I will always give you my 110% for everything, and give it my all. And, believe me, I am very fun as well! Feel free to reach out if you have any questions or comments!
