My first two years of high school golf I played on a two man team where we won back to back Region Golf Championships. Both years I was region low medalist and I finished my sophomore season shooting a 73. In the spring of 2015, I made the decision to transfer high schools. My dad is a football coach and he was leaving the school we were at. I had never not been with my dad on Football Friday nights and I knew that the golf program at Burke County was one of the best in the state. By transferring, I could train competitively each day.
My goal for my junior year was to consistently be in the low 70's and 60's by the end of this year. I have always been committed to always giving 100% to everything that I do. I will continue to spend hours on my short game, on the driving range and course to ensure that I am making marked improvements in my game. I will also continue to share time preparing academically so that I can maintain a 4.0 grade point average. My junior year will be full of change but I am embracing it because I know that remaining complacent will not get me where I want to be in life. My goals include playing collegiate golf at a reputable college and pursuing a degree in nursing.
