Reese Guzman '19 Recruiting Profile

I enjoy golf because its a challenging sport,  not only in the physically aspect which requires precision training of my skills and body, but also mentally which requires me to combine creativity and analytical thinking.  My golf achievements are based on learning from my past and striving to be a better player and individual.  I have excelled in local & state tournaments.  And have proven that I can compete and perform at the national and international level. Furthermore, I believe that my golf game will continue to improve because I am motivated and patient in approaching challenges and accepting of the journey to be the best that I can be in all aspects of my game and life.

There are many attributes that will make me a good college student-athlete golfer.  I feel that I am a well rounded individual. I have excelled academically as well as other activities such as Cross Country, Track & Feild, and the school marching band. Since the age of 5, I continue to train in Gymnastics twice a week. Furthermore, I participate in school and community Dance programs & productions.  

Moroever, I am a hard worker, quick learner, and attentive student.  I will be a good college teammate because my personality is lively, supportive and full of spirit, a natural team player. I am patient and acceptable to diverse teaching methods.  Also, I feel that I am an organized individual that can handle balancing student-athlete responsibilities. I was born and raised in Hawaii, and "Aloha" -respect for others, working as a team has always been a part of my character and game.

My college golf goal is to make a difference individually and contribute my skills and positive attitude to being part of a dynamic college golf team and win a NCAA Championship!  I am looking for a college golf coach that is naturally positive, truly cares for the players, and strives to bring the best out of me, as I continue to meet my inividual and team goals.  Looking for good match,... I have a high level of work ethic in golf an can do anything that I set my mind to.  I'm positive, fun, and open minded person who is not afraid of challenges and always looks for creative solutions.
