Everyone has something that drives them to push their limits. When I was 10, I was in a playoff for the state title. I lost the playoff and that feeling never left my mind. I made a promise to myself that this player would never beat me again. And to this day, she has not. I am a planner when something doesn't go my way. I form a plan to overcome the issue. At night, I tell myself motivational speeches to remind myself why I push so hard.It doesn’t have to be golf. I once had a basketball coach tell me that I wasn’t a hard worker. At that moment, I decided to go to every basketball practice and give 110%.
The reason I started playing golf is because I like the individual aspect of the game. I was tired of being let down by my teammates. In golf, I could only be let down by myself. For the rest of my high school career, I hope to stay a 4.0 student. I would like to go to a college with a technology influenced campus and to a place where I can play golf year around. I know that above every sport is academics. I am here to earn a degree and not just play golf.
