Personal Statement
My name is Nicole Johnson from Edwardsville, IL and will graduate in the 2023 class. I have been on the Varsity golf team at Edwardsville High School since my Freshman year and have achieved multiple awards. As a Junior, I am the 3-time Southwestern Conference Medalist, shooting a 66 the first day of the conference tournament. Additionality, I am the 2-time Madison County Large School Medalist and 2021 IHSA State Qualifier, finishing 12th place out of 95.
I am following a curriculum in school that prepares me for college and that pursues my interests as well. As a student, I am driven and always strive to do my best in my classes. My spring and summers are busy as I play in local tournaments such as Gateway Junior PGA and Prep Tour, as well as national junior tournaments, Golfweek, HJGT, AJGA and Women's Western. I have many attributes that make me a good college student athlete. I am a hard worker who continually tries to improve all aspects of my game through lessons and practice. I am looking for a school that offers me continual learning and development not only as a golfer but also as a college student.
